Steven Taggart, a photographer from Granite Bay, California, specializes in Travel, Landscape and Animal photography. He has been taking photos for more than 40 years, having taken the lead from family members. His father always had a camera with him on family vacations and travel. Steve observed his techniques, but moved forward to shooting with him side by side, using his own perspective to take different views of the scenes presented. His mother, Vivian, was an accomplished oil painter and his uncle, William Tuthill, sold his watercolors throughout the world.
Steve has traveled to all the states and throughout the world, his camera always with him to shoot the unexpected scene or a view that catches his eye. He can be seen traveling throughout the state, or in Nevada, Utah, Oregon and Washington, on his Harley with his camera and lenses in the saddlebags and a tripod strapped to the seat. On his travels with his wife of over 40 years, she helps him critique and select shots that best represent his work.
Steven shows his photography in northern California. He has had recent showings in the Granite Bay Public Library and is included in the 25thAnniversary Placer Artists Studios Tour from November 9-11, 2018.
